Langley agrees to upon bylaw covering mark-down of hemp products

Langley City's bylaw restricting the yard sale of hemp products could soon be gone. City board has asked mace to con the bylaw, in explanation of an autumn spat between the municipality and Hempyz, a everyday store that sold a few robustness and beauty products containing hemp, along with gifts and innovativeness items emblazoned with marijuana leaves. City officials initially refused to give possessor Randy Caine a area licence, saying the bylaw only allows products containing hemp -- a place consanguineous to marijuana -- to be sold in specifically zoned areas, including Willowbrook Shopping Centre.



But other downtown stores also deal in a few hemp-related items. Hemp and its derivatives can be utilized for fabric, cosmetics, lotions, paper, fuel, foodstuffs and even biodegradable plastics. Pedestrian killed at Ninth and Langley

Michael A. Allwood was walking westbound across the Ninth Avenue and Langley Avenue intersection about 11:45 p.m. Wednesday tenebrousness when he was struck by a 1999 Toyota driven by Beverly Rodriguez, 42, of Pace, who was traveling south in the outdoors lane of Ninth Avenue.



Allwood was knocked to the base in the southbound lane and then was struck by a 1999 Mercedes driven by Laura E. Cody of Pensacola. Both cars vanishing through had a raw clarification at the intersection. Allwood was clear-cut callous at Sacred Heart Hospital. No charges have been filed.
