Royals Fire Trey Hillman As Manager Read.

Royals familiar supervisor Dayton Moore announced Thursday afternoon that he has fired Trey Hillman as the beleaguered team's manager. Moore teared up in making the announcement, which he said was very difficult. Ned Yost, a loyal subsidiary to the team, was named interim manager. "I be wild about Trey Hillman. It was a very contrary decision.



The relationships that were formed were very strong. But at the end of the day, we have to put out decisions that are best for our baseball team," Moore said. The Royals defeat the Cleveland Indians Thursday afternoon. The firing was announced minutes after the conclusion of the game. Hillman's chronicle in two-plus seasons with the Royals was 151-207.






Hillman was told about his cessation Wednesday gloaming but given the time to omnibus the set on Thursday. He did so, hoping for one ultimate win, which he got. He said he was appreciative for the possibility to muddle through Thursday and tickled the span won. "You don't want to go out on a seven-game losing streak," he said in a tidings conference.
