For the fifth consecutive year, ABC Supply Co. Inc. has been honored with the Gallup Great Workplace Award, which recognizes the best-performing workforces worldwide. The troop is one of only 29 in the area to walk off the 2011 award. ABC also is one of only four five-time winners, having received the trophy every year since its inception.
Familiar names amid this year’s winners encompass Fifth Third Bank, Alexian Brothers Health System, PNC Financial Services Group and bon-bon maker Mars Inc. ABC Supply is the largest wholesale distributor of roofing in the United States and one of the nation’s largest distributors of siding, windows and other preferred front construction products. "When Ken and Diane Hendricks founded ABC Supply, their materialization was for ABC Supply to become the best ensemble to piece for in America," said David Luck, manager administrator cop and president. "To pull off this, they grounded the followers in a set of assertive nucleus values which included relation for human capability and creating opportunities to succeed.
"A unworkable purpose relish being ‘the best fellowship to put to for in America’ is a constantly compelling goal that can never in the final analysis be achieved because the minute you realize it, you must start over in order to accede it," Luck said. "However, we are very snobbish to be honored with the Gallup Great Workplace Award as assertive honour of our never-ending commitment to this goal." Companies considered for a Gallup Great Workplace Award were evaluated by a panel of workplace experts who compared each company’s results to results from other companies all over the world.
The reward is based on multiple criteria, including effect rates, overall arrangement levels and statement of engagement’s crash on performance. ABC Supply is based in Beloit and was founded by Ken and Diane Hendricks in 1982. The proprietorship has more than 450 branches in 44 states, serving conscientious contractors.
