Langley horse break down leads to charges

Six horses were seized and a unite faces beastlike cruelty charges after a offbeat disturbance in south Langley on Wednesday morning. The inquest began when a means went into a ditch in the 2000 block of 208th Street at about 10:30 a.m., said RCMP Const. Holly Marks.



Township firefighters arrived first, and called for the coppers assistance. When observe arrived, the conveyance owners were using a horse to seek and cart the or slang motor out of the ditch. The underweight uncultivated collapsed in the ditch. It took about an hour and the aid of a draw wares to pull the horse free. A veterinarian and members of the Langley Animal Protection Society (LAPS) and the SPCA also came to the scene.

The owners agreed to the towel their horse to SPCA custody. Five other horses on their property, all in unlucky condition, were also entranced into SPCA custody.
