BEVERLY HILLS - Hollywood's biggest and most marvellous stars donned their finest to parade down the red carpet at the Golden Globes on Sunday with strapless gowns, chandelier earrings, stalwart colors and bad the trim choices. Fashion was chichi and pretty, pattern experts agreed, saying there was a shortage of cringe-worthy moments. "I don't reckon anybody laid an egg tonight," said Sasha Charnin Morrison, the fad boss for US Weekly. "It was actually glorious, in fact stunning.
" Black and night off colour were prevailing with some bright exceptions. Golden Globe nominees Kate Winslet, Amy Adams, Sally Hawkins and Viola Davis were amongst the many actresses who chose felonious dresses for the eventide consequence in Beverly Hills, California. "It made me be conscious of a young scrap sexy, and I needed to judge a little bit sexy tonight," Davis, nominated for best supporting actress for "Doubt," said about choosing her Max Azria plunging V-neck gown. Evan Rachel Wood of "The Wrestler" also sported a funereal gown with a plunging V-neck. "People take care asking me how I picked it, but I fantasize it picked me," she said of the sequined and beaded gown by Elie Saab.
"Blue and sombre are the big colors, with bigger earrings and chunky bracelets," said luxury adept Michael O'Connor. Anne Hathaway, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Drew Barrymore, Debra Messing and Sigourney Weaver were all in blue. With only a few exceptions, strapless dresses of all colors were the night's biggest trend.
In adding to Winslet and Adams, Hathaway, Eva Longoria, Eva Mendes, Miley Cyrus and Freida Pinto all bared their shoulders. Pinto, one of the stars of "Slumdog Millionaire," said she was infatuated with her "mustardy gold" gown by Christian Lacroix. "When you get into one doctor you appear unequivocally 'wow' about, you have to creep by it. And this one was it," Pinto said.
Pinto's gold chandelier earrings showed off another style turn -- big, chunky jewelry. Adams, of the film "Doubt," dazzled red carpet watchers with a twosome of leaves fashioned out of environmental gems and diamonds. Angelina Jolie was a peerless standout from the strapless bedeck and big earrings lot in a bright but innocent silver-beaded decorate by Versace. Jennifer Lopez also went metallic in a gold dress.
