Edmond Catholic students have appointment week

The week began with students hosting Masses the weekend of Jan. 25. Students wore their adherents uniforms and participated as ushers, altar servers, and greeters. A singular garnering was enchanted to sake the school’s bursary fund. Appreciation days Activities at St. Elizabeth kicked off Monday with "Crazy Sock" and "Crazy Tie" day.



Children in pre-k through eighth-grade vied to have the most colorful and non compos mentis items, sporting the total from singing socks to blinking Sponge Bob ties. The ice blow one's stack canceled institution Tuesday and Wednesday, but Thursday parents and students thanked the sceptre with "Teacher Appreciation Day." Volunteers also were recognized.






The tables turned Friday as teachers prominent their students on "Student Appreciation Day." The children wore "spirit clothes" as an alternative of their standard uniforms, and all grades participated in a ingenuity show. Acts from each classify entertained as musicians, actors, singers, dancers, comedians, and gymnasts. Friday was also "Crazy Hat Day.



" Imaginative choices included a tremendous cheese-head hat, balloon hats, a Cat-in-the-Hat hat, and homemade toppers. One critic designed a bird’s hideaway hat with a pocket-sized bird inside. Service essays Students in kindergarten through fifth-grade created posters that suffice for the question, "Where do you contemplate students being of service?" Sixth- through eighth-graders wrote essays reflecting the advantage theme.



All grades also participated in "Hoops and Jump for Heart," with proceeds present to the. Parents joined their children for lunch in the educate cafeteria, and parents of younger students joined them afterward on the playground for recess. Students at St. Elizabeth’s apply on servicing projects throughout the year. They come wampum for Sister B.J.’s Pantry and toiletries for Helping Hands in downtown.

A bread collecting is captivated up every month to serve the Samaritan House, with a remarkable "mega drive" twice a year to assistance over the holidays and before summer. The students conduct in mollycoddle gifts for Project Gabriel, confer books to the OU Children’s Hospital library, and grip up annual collections for the American Heart Association. The philosophy also supports Children’s Hospital and sponsors a stony-broke kin in , sending repeated cards, pictures, and boxes of needed items. Donations brought in by the students on Spirit Days, held throughout the year, have benefited storm victims, African relief, Birth Choice, , the houses, and various families bogus by tragedy.



Students currently are collecting 100 cans of soup for the Samaritan House in conjunction with the 100th time of school.
