Edmond guard raid apartment complex

EDMOND, Okla. (AP) - Edmond watch have arrested more than a dozen living souls while raiding an apartment complex in north Edmond. Police spokeswoman Glynda Chu says about 70 officers from various agencies assisted in the incursion starting just after 6:30 Friday morning.

She says the coppers began investigating the complex several months ago after residents complained of drugs and plot against activity. The complex is a few blocks east of Edmond North High School and Sequoyah Middle School but Chu says the teaching was not affected. Edmond schools personnel manager Randy Decker says no schools were locked down. Chu says Edmond constabulary were joined by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Oklahoma County Sheriff's Department, Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics, Warr Acres and Bethany monitor and the FBI.
