Adventureland Soundtrack. 'Adventureland' is more than a proclaim Hear.

Eisenberg plays the same trying but perspicacious underdog we've seen in early films like "The Squid and the Whale," but at least that man is brainy and likable. He shares amusing brainy chaffing with Martin Starr as Joel, the pipe-smoking Russian circulars expert, as well as a stupid fib with Lisa P. (Margarita Levieva), the hottest bit of skirt at the park. Kristen Stewart, meanwhile, fundamentally has her ordinary sullen expression and low-key expression as Em, the well-off NYU schoolgirl who's only working at Adventureland to get away from her family.

What James sees in her, to boot her proper taste in music, is a mystery. But one of the vivid touches in Mottola's vapour is the importance of deeply felt tunes in its characters' lives, with a soundtrack that features The Replacements, Husker Du and Lou Reed. Ryan Reynolds refreshingly co-stars as a unpleasant guy, for once: a married musician who has trysts with his girlfriends in the basement of his mother's house.

But Mottola seems more acceptable with the comedy than he does with the kind of dramaturgy that Reynolds' nature introduces; such moments contemplate down the mist rather than produce it with gravitas. It's peer he's chosen the moral song, but it just isn't always in tune.
